SWV is a system for cataloguing Siza’s works. Created in the same way as Bach’s BWV, it associates an identifying acronym (the SWV) with a chronologically based alphanumeric system (as in opus cataloguing) that chronologically identifies each of Siza’s works.

The following triptychs offer us the context of possible Geographies of Siza Baroque.

Siza Baroque, Conferences II, Soares dos Reis National Museum, 28 September 2024

The second and final series of conferences bringing together researchers from the Siza Barroco research project is approaching: Siza and the Baroque, by José Miguel Rodrigues and Joana Couceiro, the researchers responsible for the project; Siza and the Modern, by Ana Tostões, Full Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon; Siza and the Post-Modern, by Jorge Figueira, Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra.

The lectures will look at Álvaro Siza’s work through three different lenses that will seek to enter into dialogue in the final debate, moderated by Sílvia Ramos, a project researcher.
